About Us

As lead singer of a pop group in the mid 1970's, culminating in an audition to replace the lead singer in the 'Rubettes'- music was always in the blood of Ian Woolley.

When the group disbanded a few years later, Ian left the music industry.Moving from his home in Wales in late 1980 he moved to Sway and later New Milton.It wasn't until 1987 that a disco partnership was established in the area.

In 1989 he bought out his partner and got a contract to be resident DJ at Bournemouth’s Crest Hotel and ‘Little Peters’ disco bar.

Soon bigger contracts and other top hotels including regularly hosting Bournemouth University's Grand Tourism Ball and DJ'ing a private disco for the soap cast of Emmerdale Farm!

Apart from contracts in Bournemouth's hotels and holiday camps,the business expanded in the early 1990's with pioneering one of Dorset's first Karaoke promoters 'Karaoke Entertainers'.

Areas covered includes as far afield as Weymouth and Portsmouth.In 1995, Ian Woolley was one of three DJ's invited to host a New Year's disco in Dubai for the prestige Dubai Racing Club.

The first regular quiz night was at The Grange Hotel in Southbourne when a music quiz was established.Ian says"in those days all our music was on vinyl and the place looked more like a record shop than a quiznight - I had 10,000 records"!

With one of the largest music collections anywhere with over 15,000 songs at our disposal on any given night.
